World famous Valley of Flowers opens to visitors in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli

The World Heritage Valley of Flowers is going to open for tourists from June 1. In which tourists from all over the country and abroad will be able to see the Valley of Flowers।. World famous Valley of Flowers opens to visitors in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli. More than 600 species of flowers will bloom in the Valley of Flowers this season which will remain open for the visitors till Oct 31 this year.

How to reach Valley of Flowers

The Valley of Flowers is located in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Air service is available from Delhi to Uttarakhand. From Delhi to Jollygrant airport can be reached by plane. Valley of Flowers is located in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand state. Chamoli can be reached by taxi from Jolly Grant Airport. After reaching Chamoli, with the permission of the Forest Department, you can go to the garden of flowers. It is necessary for foreign tourists to take permission from the Forest Department to visit the Valley of Flowers. But it is very easy, some minor fees have to be paid in it. More than 300 species of flowers bloom in the Valley of Flowers, flowers start blooming from the month of June and flowers can be seen till the month of July-August.


Snowflakes are scattered everywhere on the three-kilometer walking track of the World Heritage Valley of Flowers. Due to this, the team of Nanda Devi National Park Administration, which went to inspect the valley, returned halfway. The team says that the team will have to struggle a lot to open the pedestrian track.

The Valley of Flowers is opened for tourists on June 1 every year. This year, the process of heavy rain and snowfall continues in the months of April and May, due to which the footpath of the Valley of Flowers is covered with heavy snow. The team of Valley of Flowers range of Nanda Devi National Park had gone to inspect the valley two days back but only half of the team had to return due to heavy snowfall on the way.

Now three weeks are left for the valley to open. In such a situation, making way for the valley on time will be a big challenge for the forest department. Right now there are heavy icebergs at Bhusa Point and Glacier Point. The way forward can be made only by cutting them.
